HAM Version 2.0 as described in the Product Description Document completely follows the model updates of the GRACE/-FO AOD1B release RL07 dealising product. HAM are based on hydrological model simulations with OS LISFLOOD forced with atmospheric re-analysis and operational data from the ECMWF. For 1960 – 2017, LISFLOOD is forced with the fifth generation reanalysis of the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ERA5; Hersbach et al., 2020). Since 2018, LISFLOOD is forced with the operational ECMWF data product.

The hydrological model OS LISFLOOD is spatially distributed at a regular 0.05° grid with a process-based rainfall-runoff and routing model. It  includes interception, snow accumulation and melt, evapotranspiration, infiltration, soil-water redistribution (represented using three soil layers), preferential flow, groundwater storage and baseflow, surface runoff, and river routing.
