Access to the IGETS data base

The access to the IGETS data base for data product download is only possible for registered users. For registration please enter the registration page.

The data download is only possible via encrypted sftp on igetsftp.gfz-potsdam.de. The former access via classical ftp has been switched off. 

This applies to both data producers as well as data users!

For the access to the IGETS data base we recommend using the following tools:  

• Windows: WinSCP, FileZilla
• Linux: FileZilla or command line comannds
• MacOS: FileZilla, CyberDuck or command line commands
• For all PC systems: rclone (https://rclone.org/downloads/)  

Please note: GFZ has changed its internet URL from "gfz-potsdam.de" into "gfz.de". The former URL "gfz-potsdam.de" will be switched off by end of 2025. Therefore, please use "igetsftp.gfz.de" from now on as name for the igets ftp-server! In case of question please send a message to igets-support(at)gfz.de

Data producers can provide a public ssh key to GFZ to enable sftp login without password for data upload. Please contact us via a message to igets-support(at)gfz.de
